Life is full of wonderful surprises and my recent conversation with Hadassah Wilson is a perfect example.
I've known Hadassah for a little over a year now and by "known" I mean "she's a barista at one of my local haunts, Square One Coffee." As it turns out, besides finding out "How are you?" or "How are things today?" I didn't really know much about Hadassah at all.
This weekend Hadassah is competing at The Big East, a part of the US Coffee Championships where the best baristas from across the country gather to show what they can do, share some knowledge, and pull some great shots of coffee. I thought it would be fun to have her on the Foot in the Door podcast to talk about the tournament, coffee, and find a little bit more about her as a person.
I had no idea what was in store and it's an afternoon I won't soon forget. As you'll see, Hadassah is warm, inviting, and quick to share her heart. Our talk together is one that's stayed with me and I'm sure it will resonate with you, as well. Grab a cup of your favorite blend and join me and Hadassah doing what coffee seems to be made to do: Inspiring real, honest, community conversation.
