I seem to be surprised to find myself in front of a brick wall.
Also, go Cubs.
Hi, my name is Ed. Nice to meet you.

Once upon a time I lived in a small town in Indiana. Then, as a bright-eyed and bushy tailed 21-year-old, I moved to California to seek fame and fortune. I didn't find either one there, but I met a bunch of really great people.

Since then, I've lived in Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, back to California, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Illinois, New York, back to Indiana, and - for now - back to Pennsylvania.

In my adventures, I've met some really cool people. I've worked with them, for them, and alongside them. I've interviewed some and met others in passing in the lobby of a movie theater. Some of them I've had over to my house for Movie Night and others I've played Mario Kart with in a hot trailer at the Creation Festival. I've ridden on a bus with some and others I met as a member of an improv troupe.

No matter who it was I've met or how well I've gotten to know them - if at all -  as a people person, I've found them all fascinating. This podcast is my attempt to get to know them better, find out more about them, and - in some cases - introduce them to you.

I'll be sitting down with all sorts of people: artists, label peeps, radio peeps, promoters, managers, salesmen, musicians, producers, actors, artists, baristas, news reporters, Shakespeare enthusiasts...the list goes on. I'm looking forward to chatting with all of them, whether I consider them an old friend or whether our conversation will be the first time we meet.

I hope you'll find it interesting, eye-opening, compelling, and yes, in some cases, humorous. It's not about talking with "famous" people. It's about talking with regular people like you and me who just happen to have really cool jobs.

So stick around. I think it'll be fun. Grab yourself a cup of coffee (I know I will) and join us. You can subscribe to the podcast on iTunes and then swing by Facebook and Twitter for updates on future guests.

I appreciate you stopping by and hope to see you again. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to drop me a line. Thanks again for checking out Foot in the Door. See you soon!
